Concrete polishing on the ground floor slab in a new loft in the Mission District, San Francisco, California.
This client wanted the concrete to have the original color and character of the building so no staining or coatings were required. We did a four step polishing process on the concrete and used Creto DPS to permanently seal and densify the concrete. We applied the Creto DPS after the heavy grinding and allowed it to cure for 24 hours. We then went back and used a 50/50 mix of the sealer and water while doing the final polishing. This densifies the top layer of concrete, creating more water repellency and stain resistance. The project came out beautifully and the client was excited about his new floor.
