What for you is the best part about working in the concrete industry?
Its what I know. I meet all different people from all walks of life, truck drivers, concreters and builders. Its a small industry
What's the worst day you have ever had working in the concrete industry?
Fighting with concreter's. Just one bad day (Dean laughs), everyone knows everyone
What's the best decision youv'e made since commencing in the concrete industry?
To start working for myself. I spent 10 years with my former company and then went out on my own. When I made the move its the best thing I ever did
What makes your business unique and makes you stand out from the competition? e.g personal service, experience, size, professionalism or market niche?
Our market niche in the industry. We have excellent contacts within the steel reinforcing and waffle pod industry. Whilst collectively we have close to 50 years experience in our organisation
Why should the public and your business colleagues choose to work with you?
There are three owners in our business and all our customers deal with us on a day to day basis, and have one on one interaction with us. Whilst we have sales representatives to take orders for us, our business is all about one on one personalised service
When not working within the concrete industry, how do you spend your free time?
When I'm not working I spend most of my free time with family, riding motorbikes and catching up with friends
If you could pick one person, who do you admire most in life?
Lindsay Fox. I admire that the man was able to build an empire starting from on truck to become the larget privately owned trucking firm in the country
If you retired from the concrete industry tomorrow, what would you be doing?
I would be travelling the country with my wife
