Let's find out who drives the outfit at Tough Floors
The technical flooring expert, Euan Bennett talks with concrete broker
1. What for you is the best part about working in the concrete industry?
The industry is diverse and there are various trades involved that bring the industry together. Can learn much from others
2. What’s the worst day you ever had working in the concrete industry?
Any day over 32 degrees with high humidity. Our epoxy based products stand little chance in these conditions, along with the apprentice
3. What’s the best decision you’ve made since commencing in the concrete industry?
With the diversity of the flooring space, creating alliances of trust where we recommend, refer and work together on projects
4. What makes your business unique and makes you stand out from the competition ?
Speed in response to enquiries, higher levels of communication so that no surprises occur at the back end and an informed and educational process
5. Why should the public and your business colleagues choose to work with your business?
Even though it's a cliche, we only work on win/win scenarios. We advise the clients if what they're proposing is not cost effective and although not necessarily considered good for business, we
adopt a longer term view
6. When not working in the concrete industry how do you spend your free time?
Reading about latest technologies, harassing suppliers while throwing the ball out to sea at my local dog beach, various sports (being fit helps a lot in our work)
7. If you could pick one person, who do you most admire in life?
It will be the person I haven't met and never will. It's the person who is doing things for greater humanity and doesn't want to be recognised so therefore, I will likely never know this person
8. If you retired from the concrete industry tomorrow, what would you be doing?
Retirement? I've only scratched the surface, so to speak (um, that's a flooring joke btw)
